A bicentennial history of the Armenian community of Massachusetts

Tashjian, James H. • Geschiedenis

1976 , Watertown (A-D HIS TASJ 1976)

Among the forces which played roles in the drama of the Armenian immigration to America were the traditional interest and curiosity of the Armenians in the world about them, the pursuit of commerce and livelihood, a search for higher education or training in the crafts and trades and, finally, and most decisively, the continuing struggle to survive and win the rights of man - an effort which has become almost a national occupation with Armenians under the incessant hammerblows of foreign tiranny, terror and oppression.
